Lower Fat Milk Chocolate Popcorn Fudge

This lower fat fudge recipe lets you enjoy the delicious combination of milk chocolate and air-popped popcorn. For those who adore the combination of sweet and salty flavors without the guilt of being overly fat, this is the ideal treat.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk fat-free
  • 3 cups air-popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions:

Line an 8x8-inch 20x20 cm baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the milk chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk

Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth

Stir in the vanilla extract and salt into the chocolate mixture

Gently fold in the air-popped popcorn and chopped nuts if using until they are evenly coated with the chocolate mixture

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly

Refrigerate for about 2 hours or until the fudge is set

Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang

Place it on a cutting board and cut into squares or rectangles

Enjoy your lower fat milk chocolate popcorn fudge!
