Edamame and Truffle Dumplings - Choosingchia

These Edamame and Truffle Dumplings are a delightful fusion of flavors, combining the earthy taste of truffle with the freshness of edamame. They make for a gourmet appetizer or a tasty snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shelled edamame beans
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon truffle oil
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped shiitake mushrooms
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 dumpling wrappers
  • Water for sealing dumplings
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

Cook the edamame beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water

In a food processor, combine the cooked edamame, minced garlic, truffle oil, chopped shiitake mushrooms, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper

Blend until a coarse paste forms

Lay out a dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the edamame mixture in the center

Dip your finger in water and run it along the edge of the wrapper to moisten it

Fold the wrapper in half to form a half-moon shape, then press the edges together to seal the dumpling

You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch

Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat

Once the oil is hot, add the dumplings in a single layer, making sure they don't touch each other

Fry the dumplings for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy

Remove the dumplings from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil

Serve the Edamame and Truffle Dumplings hot, with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce
