Ingredients:
- 4 ripe pears
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips, for drizzling
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions:
Dry and clean the pears
Cut each pear in half lengthwise, and then hollow out the center of each half with a spoon to remove the seeds
The semi-sweet chocolate should be melted in 20-second increments in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring in between, until it is smooth and completely melted
Each pear half should be dipped halfway or to your desired depth into the melted chocolate
After letting any extra chocolate fall off, put the dipped pear halves on a baking sheet covered with parchment
While the chocolate is still melted, scatter the sliced almonds that have been toasting over each pear half
The chocolate will hold onto the almonds
To let the chocolate set, put the baking sheet containing the dipped pears in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes
Meanwhile, use the same technique to melt the white chocolate chips in a bowl that is safe to use in the microwave
After the chocolate has hardened, take the pears out of the fridge and cover the almond-crusted chocolate-covered part of each pear half with a drizzle of melted white chocolate
For extra taste, top the white chocolate drizzle with a small pinch of sea salt
To set the white chocolate drizzle, put the pears back in the fridge for an additional ten minutes
Present your crunchy almond-studded chocolate-dipped pears as a sophisticated and delectable dessert
